The new workshop and events announcement pages---these pages are available for the whole public to view, but will only list workshops and/or events of paid, G1 members. We will promote this page heavily, including a link on the home page and on top of the public forum.
We've implemented this system for those that truely want to display their support and who truely believe in the genre of "glamour photography"--and to give them an opportunity to show the same suppoprt for the community they are requesting support from--not to mention it cuts down on workshop posts on the public forum.
Workshop and events posts are allowed on our forums, no more than once per every 72 hour period on any forum besides the workshop and events forum, and only once every five days on the private, community forum, timed from the original time of the first post to the last posting of the same event or workshop. The posting of these events or workshops will be allowed for paid members only--non-members may not post such events or workshops; however, if a photographer, model, make-up artists, or those related to the glamour and photography industry make a contributing post, they may link to their event at any time. Their contribution must follow our forum guidelines.
Forums are interactive, and they are established to exchange ideas, network, announce and most important, push the craft they are promoting--in this case, photography and modeling.
Glamour One™averages over 10-GIGabytes of traffic per day--that's more than the average person will surf in a few years. This costs in way over $1,600 per month in servers and bandwidth charges alone--and for the most part, everyone contributes their fair share to the perpetuality of GG. I thank those for their kindness and strong belief in maintaining this family as a great success.
Because of the costs, we can only allow workshops and/or events advertised (posted) here from those contributing members. You can use this page as a cross-reference file to see who really supports this community and the promotion of glamour photography and modeling with a true team spirit.
Glamour One™ also advertises in nationally published magazines, for over three years now, in magazines like Popular Photography, American Photo, Photo District News, Zoom International, Shutterbug, Studio Photography & Design and Digital Imaging--this helps bring the over eight million page impressions we get each month--that's over 30,000,000 hits per month! It's all part of building the community stronger.
If you are a member and want to be listed on our workshop and events announcement page(s), just send me the URL to your G1 portfolio, your banner (468x60) and the title of the workshop/event. If you are not a member and would like to be on this page and/or have the privilege to be able to announce your workshop or event on our forums you can join here.
