Twelve Golden Rules:
1. If you are a model posting availability for work, be specific about your intentions and interests along with your geographic location. Models can use free e-mail accounts to protect themselves, but they must post an image when soliciting for work. Your Glamour 1 profile must have complete contact information, and you must have at least THREE images in your Glamour 1 portfolio--no exceptions! Management reserves the right to delete any post for any reason.
2. Photographers, be specific in your requests for assignments, state your rates if applicable, and credits. Your Glamour 1 profile must have complete contact information, and you must have at least THREE images in your Glamour 1 portfolio--no exceptions! Management reserves the right to delete any post for any reason.
3. If you post recruiting for models, you can only do this for fashion, editorial, lifestyle, fitness, fine-art, commercial, or glamour photography. Absolutely no recruitment for hardcore, adult paysites, adult, XXX, fetish, or amateur "adult" models allowed. Recruitment for "membership type paysites" is allowed, provide those sites do not have, contain, or link to anything sexually explicit.
4. When soliciting or recruiting for models or photographers, you must post an image and a website or URL where you work/credits can be viewed. Your portfolio on Glamour 1 is acceptable if you do not have a website of your own, provided you have at least FIVE images in that portfolio. Posts recruiting for photographers, models or make-up artists from hotmail/freemail/yahoomail type accounts are prohibited if the required URL to your website and images are hosted by a free domain service or free portfolio/album hosting service such as OMP, Yahoo, or free model or photography websites. When making recruiting posts, you must post a valid point of contact (a real person's full name) & email address, a URL to your website and an image. If you don't have a site to refer to, join Glamour 1.
5. If you are a model/talent agent or a model/talent manager, or represent such an agency, model management firm or school, and are recruiting for models, you must identify yourself as such and include a real person's full name as a point of contact, make your post from an approved type of ISP account (no hotmail/freemail/yahoomail type accounts), include the URL for your firm's web site, include your state license number (or a statement that such a license is not required in your state), and clearly state the requirements for your open call. If training classes or portfolio shoots are required as a condition for signing with your firm, this must be clearly stated, along with the charges for such requirements. .
6. Posts made by minors or of minors are prohibited and their ISP's will be contacted (if need be). Absolutely no "model" pictures of models under the age of 18, if the person is in a suggestive or glamour pose/image. In other words, all "glamour related" photos of minors prohibited. However, any G1 "family or community" member may post an image of their immediate family, including their kids that are minors, when it comes to portraits, family pics, birthdays, holidays, etc., when it's obvious the G1 family member from this first-class community is posting their "immediate family pictures." NO pictures of any family members that are minors that depict "glamour" or sexually suggestive poses and/or clothes will be allowed.
7. Posting of events or workshops is an entitlement only authorized to members of the Glamour 1 virtual community-- click here for more information. Posting announcements of or links to contests or posts asking for votes are prohibited on the Main Forum and must be posted in our "contests" section. Posting of convention, expos, and workshop announcements, or announcements that lead to individual profit of any kind, are allowed only for "members" of Glamour 1--no exceptions; however, all posts must meet all guidelines on this page--click here for more information."
8. Posting of links to other forums without prior approval is prohibited. Similarly, posting links to G1 forum threads or discussions outside of the Glamour 1 domain is prohibited.
9. Posting of private email correspondence is not allowed without permission of the originator, and requires clearance through forum administrators in advance.
10. When posting critiques, be firm, be professional, be polite--use tact. Distasteful, nasty, belittling posts will not be tolerated. The "Golden Rule" applies here, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." When critiquing, don't just provide problems, provide solutions and sound advice along with any references. Improvement comes from constructive criticism, not destructive criticism. When critiquing, or being critical of someone's work, you must post an IMAGE of your work as a courtesy to the person being critiqued..
11. Posts lacking tact are not allowed. If your post is unprofessional in choice of words, it will be deleted. We will not tolerate rudeness, harsh language, flames, slander, libel or insults of any kind. No he said - she said posts. If you have a problem with someone - take it off the board.
12. Complaints or questions about the operation of this board should be sent to the webmaster or moderators, not posted on the public forum. Please contact us here.
